Once again District 201W1, have hosted our annual “Razz-Ma-Tazz” event formally the Lions District 201W1 Film Festival for Disadvantaged Children.
The event has changed over the last few years from several movie afternoons at different cinemas around the city to a live theatre experience featuring a variety of different interactive acts providing spectacular family entertainment with five shows over two days.
The event is organised as a special day out to help lift the spirits and bring well needed joy, laughter and amazement to the special need and disadvantaged children from our local community. This is a welcome change for the Children who may be having to deal, on a daily basis, with illness, physical disability, emotional trauma or severe socio-economic hardship.
“Razz-Ma-Tazz”” is a live theatre show of international standard performers steeped in the traditional disciplines of clowning, juggling, balancing, puppetry, acrobatics and unique comedy routines; all performed to the highest degree of skill and entertainment value.
We have endeavoured to provide entertainment that really lifts the spirits and therefore this Show includes large doses of comedy.
Judging by the laughter and delighted reaction of the audience this kind of entertainment is appreciated by all members of the family. We believe Razz-Ma-Tazz” is UNIQUE and to keep the Show fresh and new we endeavour to vary the acts and material each year.
Our fundraisers only contact the business community to fund the Event which enable us to provide, via the producers International Entertainment, an international quality shows for the entertainment of special needs children and their families and in the process we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds for various worthwhile community projects including King Edward Memorial Hospital Women’s and Infant Research Foundation, Lions Hearing Foundation, Lions Save Sight Foundation and Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital Foundation.
As we have in previous years the funds raised will be presented to the groups at the W1 District Convention.
If you know of any business that has been approached to assist with this project please encourage them to participate so we can assist the children and the recipient Foundations.
